This is an original oil painting on a 30"x40"x1.5" deep edge, gallery wrapped canvas.
It comes varnished and with wiring on the back, ready to hang straight out of the box.

This piece is inspired by Gaetano Cellini's "Humanity Against Evil" Statue. The statue caught my attention as I had been going through some challenges in my life at the time (as I'm sure most people can identify with). Where it just felt like life was one battle after another. I feel this piece symbolises perseverance, patience and resilience through life's many trials and tribulations. Pulling ourselves forwards from the darkness towards the light. Then again, ultimately the fight becomes much easier when we trust in God to go before us, leading the way and trust in Him. There is always hope, no matter what the situation around us looks like. I know some have more on their plates than others. Just remember, the devil likes to kick us when we are down, trying to get us to doubt God and His love for us. Whispering in our ear "look at you", "God doesn't want you any more", "look how pathetic you are", "you might as well give up now". Recognise that voice? The devil is a liar, we are made of stronger stuff than that so we don't come into agreement with him. All he has is empty words, we have the living God !! Onwards !!
